Project Description

Our bacteria is engineered to act as chemical wires with the capability of processing signals and linking sophisticated genetic circuits. The core concept of our project is modularization, realizing intercellular communication by applying quorum-sensing systems rather than building the whole genetic circuit in a single cell. Through our effort, the complexity of product genetic circuits can be extended.
Moreover, we highlight the efficiency of the 'chemical wires'. By well-designed Microflow system, enabling the filtration and dilution, we aim at ameliorate the orthogonality problem caused by the homology of QS systems.
