The transport of biological agents has a huge impact on the environment and biology, we know the details of the transport, decided to make the relevant video for more people to learn.12 teams gather together to film a biosafety video, every team took different topics, but all based on Yale biosafety manual.
Environment and Public
In our lab, we use Synthetic yeast which is different with wild type yeast.In order to ensure that our synthetic yeast does not produce a possible safety problem for the environment,we have enacted the relevant regulations.If we look upon as yeast on the solid medium is the starting point, we will pick it in the clean bench, as a template for PCR or inoculated into the liquid medium for culture. The next step of experiment such as transformation and PCR and other experimental steps can produce waste. We generate the remaining waste liquid and pour it into a special waste bottle, we first use high pressure sterilization method to kill the yeast, and then pour into the sink.Fungus which fail to import the plasmid or DNA fragment will be killed by antibiotics on the medium. Similarly, we will use the box and then sterilize the untapped experimental consumables such as discarded media or centrifugal tubes produced by the experiment, and then put the experimental garbage labeled "Synthetic yeast" on the biological experiment trash, waiting for the handling of the company. About reusable experimental consumables ,we can kill microbes by alcohol sterilization and flame burning.

1.only approved personnel can enter the laboratory work area. 2.the laboratory door should be kept closed. 3. children should not be approved or allowed to enter the laboratory work area.
operational specifications
1. is strictly prohibited with the mouth of the pipette. 2. is strictly prohibited to put the experimental material in the mouth. Do not lick the label. 3. all the technical operation to minimize the formation of aerosols and tiny droplets to carry out the way. 4.the occurrence of spills, accidents and obvious or may be exposed to infectious substances, must be reported to the laboratory safety officer.
laboratory work area
1. the laboratory should be kept clean and tidy, is not allowed to display and experiments have nothing to do with the items. 2. the occurrence of potentially hazardous material spill and after the end of every day, must be removed from the work surface pollution. 3. all contaminated materials, specimens and culture in the waste or clean before recycling, must remove the pollution. 4. in the packaging and transport must comply with national and / or international regulations.
Personnel protection
1.in the laboratory work, at any time must wear uniforms. 2.Wear suitable gloves when performing direct or accidental exposure to blood, body fluids, and other potentially infectious materials or infectious animals. Wash hands after removal of gloves. 3.after dealing with infectious experimental materials and animals, and before leaving the laboratory work area, must wash their hands. 4.there may be splashing, in order to prevent the eyes or face by the splash of injury, should wear safety glasses, masks (masks) or other protective equipment. 5.not in the laboratory through the toe shoes. 6.prohibit eating in the laboratory work area, drinking water, smoking, makeup and handling contact lenses. 7.prohibit the storage of food and beverage in the laboratory work area. 8.used in the laboratory protective clothing and daily clothing can not be placed in the same cabinet.
