Teams

Through the AlumniGEM mentorship program, high school and collegiate teams will each be guided by one mentor throughout the summer on processes such as designing and troubleshooting an experiment, incorporating human practices (integrative and / or educational) into the iGEM project, creating an abstract, developing a team wiki, and submitting a BioBrick. They will have online meetings with their mentors at least once per month during the competition season to learn these various aspects of iGEM and to have their questions answered.

To further expand the number of teams involved in iGEM, new teams are especially encouraged to apply. Returning teams that would benefit significantly from mentoring are also encouraged.

Additionally, a special mentorship workshop will be held at the iGEM Jamboree where those who participated in the program as well as other jamboree attendees will be invited. We will discuss everyone's experiences so we can make the program even better next year. We hope to see you there!

The first round of applications for teams is due TBD. This page is still under construction.
