Collaboration with SDU_CHINA
Shandong University set up an iGEM team first time this year. Our project was performed in a lab of Shandong University, and our lab is very close to theirs. So it’s very convenient for us to communicate with each other. We shared some ideas, technologies and social resources. And we mutually helped each other. They aided us to measure the pressure of CO2 and O2 using a Blood-gas analyzer. Meanwhile, we helped them to dub their video at the homepage.

With the request of the BGIC-Union team, we provided them with some experimental materials and equipments to finish some experiments. We shared our lab with BGIC-China team members and provided guidance and gave advice on the transformation and extract plasmids sHRPN-dCas9 and sHRPC-dCas9. With our help, they cultured the bacteria, and harvests the plasmid of larger amount. This promotes effectively the smooth progress for their project.

From August 26 to 28, 2017, the 4th Conference of China iGEMer Community was held in Jinshan Campus of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. More than 300 iGEMers attended this conference. The iGEMers and specialists launched warm and enthusiastic talks regarding the iGEM topics. Ten of our team members participated in this conference. We showed our project and received some valuable advice and suggestions.
