What we did last week:
  1. Scheduled our timeline and analyzed the award rules.
  2. Communicated with other teams.
  3. Made use of WebCrawler to acquire data from iGEM’s website.
  4. Studied text analysis algorithms.
  5. Learned what the previous team had done last year and began to design new web pages.
  6. Made sure what the new functions will be.

What we are going to do:
  1. Our software aims to be an assisting tool which possesses the following functions:
    1. Search biosimulation resources.
    2. Recommend information and literature about BioBricks that most relate to the BioBrick chains users have designed.
    3. Provide new iGEM teams with guidance by analyzing wikis of teams from previous years.

  1. Decide on the forms of assessment of BioBricks.
    1. Users assess BioBricks subjectively.
    2. Our software system evaluates BioBricks objectively.

Setting goals:
  1. Design an assisting software that possesses the following functions:
    1. Allowing users to search for bio-simulation resources.
    2. Provide users with recommendations of information and literature about BioBricks that are closely related to BioBrick chains users have designed.
