Our team has decided to improve upon the [http://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K116404 BBa_K116404] phosphate sensor-GFP reporter which was constructed by NYMU Taipei in 2008.

By replacing the weaker RBS 32 of the original part with a stronger affinity rbs 34, we have successfully constructed [http://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K2447000 Part:BBa_K2447000] phosphate sensor-GFP reporter. Our part is much more sensitive to phosphate concentrations even at phosphate concentrations of 40uM and above. Furthermore, at low phosphate concentration, strong GFP production is registered for our construct similar to the original construct.
