Project Discription
We are a multidisciplinary team of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Kent. This year our team aims to create a tool that can innovate research involving the CRISPR Cas13a system that will allow us to track certain mRNA in a living cell. This could be used to investigate the lifespan of viruses in mammalian cells, to study in depth the processes of embryogenesis, neurogenesis and stem cell differentiation as well as cancer research.
