Attributions

Our team consisted of 1 biologist, 2 biochemists, 1 natural scientist, 1 computer scientist, 2 mathematicians and 3 physicists. Therefore our interdisciplinary team combines different knowledge and skills of our members.

We had a week of 'bootcamp' training in the Easter holidays where individuals were taught the basics of lab work and concepts we could employ in our project.

Our project idea was decided during within the first few weeks of July after a lot of brainstorming and discussions with academics.

Unless otherwise stated, all the content documented on our Wiki was done by us.

Human Practices support

* Dr Sarah Hartley – Introduced the concepts of RRI and assisted with the development of our human practices

* Prof. John Bryant- Gave a talk introducing the concept of Bioethics

* Dr Sabina Leonelli- Lead a discussion on how to extend our human practices

* Dr Robert Smith - Advisor to Imperial 2016 iGEM team, Rob gave us helpful tips on how to conduct our human practices

Wheal Maid Field Trip

* Katy Jones - Put us in touch with Tomassa to sample at the wheal maid site and also gave us metal ion and microbe species composition of the soils at wheal maid

* Dr Ann Power - Helped prepare all of the equipment we needed to take water samples, helped write the protocols for on site filtering and performing metal ion analysis on the water samples

* Tomassa Staffi - Helped us navigate the Wheal Maid site, pick which which lagoons should be sampled from and helped with sampling and on site sample filtration

Veolia Treatment Plant

* Chris Nappin - Technical Process Electrician, Chris kindly offered to give us a guided tour of Treatment Plant at Wheal Jane. Chris was very knowledgeable and answered all questions, including helpful figures, about the plant's operations.

* Ross Bray - Site Operation Supervisor at Veolia UK, Ross was our first contact at Veolia and kindly passed on our information request to the Coal Authority. He also set the date for our tour to take place.
