DSM

Royal DSM looks from a scientific point of view to health, nutrition and materials. By connecting its unique competences in Life Sciences and Materials Sciences with innovative ideas, DSM is driving economic prosperity, environmental progress and social advances to create sustainable value for all stakeholders simultaneously. For this reason DSM shows their support to Dutch iGEM teams by supporting them financially, including our team. For more information visit the DSM Website.

CHDR

CHDR is a full service contract research organisation (CRO) located in Leiden, The Netherlands. They provide a full range of high quality clinical pharmacology services to the (bio-) pharmaceutical industry. One of their services is the research they conduct on the functioning of medicine on human subjects. Besides research, CDHR also offers advice to their clients on all aspects of the drug development process. For more information you can contact the CHDR website.

IDT

Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. (IDT), the global leader in nucleic acid synthesis, is a 2017 platinum level sponsor of the iGEM Competition. Besides sponsoring the competition, IDT has generously offered to provide each registered team with up to 20KB of its market leading gBlocks® Gene Fragments synthetic DNA products. Our team has used the gBlocks® as a basis for creating our constructs. For more information or ordering the gBlock® fragments, please visit the IDT Website.

Genscript

GenScript is the leading gene, protein and antibody research partner for fundamental life science research, translational biomedical research, and early stage pharmaceutical development who seek to dramatically improve human and animal health by enabling scientists to expedite life science and biomedical research.

GenScript is a premium partner for the 2017 iGEM Competition. As a part of their partnership, GenScript is offering both funding opportunities and special discounts for participating teams. For our team this meant we were able to receive silver medal funding from GenScript which we could use to proceed our research. For more information visit the GenScript Website.

ICMS

The Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS) aims to become the leading international multidisciplinary institute for research and education by combining the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and engineering to understand complex molecular systems. To achieve this goal, the ICMS does not only perform top research, but also trains young scientists, organizes interdisciplinary science activities and provides an advanced study center. Not only has the ICMS provided us with funding for our project, she has also provided our team with an office to work in and has offered support from its staff. We are grateful towards the ICMS for making it possible for our team to attend the Giant Jamboree in Boston! For more information you can contact the ICMS Website.

IBA

IBA Lifesciences is a biotechnology company providing custom specific services and products for life science research in academia and industry worldwide. IBA focusses on three business segments: cell selection, protein purification and oligo custom services. The company is the original manufacturer and supplier of the Strep-tag®/Strep-Tactin® technology, an affinity chromatography system developed for protein purification. The method is based on one of the strongest non-covalent interactions in nature, which is the interaction of biotin to streptavidin. An intrinsic binding affinity of the Strep-tag® towards Strep-Tactin® results in a highly specific interaction, which enables the isolation and purification of proteins in a native state as wells as intact protein complexes. Recently, the method was further developed to be used for cell selection from whole blood or other single cell suspensions (Fab-TACS, Fab-Traceless Affinity Cell Selection). For more information contact the IBA Lifesciences website.
