The Museum
The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is Western North Carolina’s home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity.
We led the kids through the extraction of DNA from a strawberry.
We talked about scientific observation. Kids were engaged to think about the correlation of strawberry size and how much DNA it contained.
Quite a few families came through. I think they had a good time.
Jackson provides bespoke farm-to-table centrifugation for the scientists of tomorrow.
Some people needed assistance with the carthatic squishing step.
