Welcome to ManhattanCol_Bronx!
We are excited to start this iGEM season!

Our Project

Our project is centered around creating a biological fuel cell. We would like to genetically engineer the e.coli to be able to produce its own source of energy, which we will be beneficial to helping the energy crisis currently going on in the world.

Our Project

Here is a brief overview of our project.

  • We will be working on creating a biological fuel cell.
  • We plan on working on the cathode component of the experiment for the high-efficiency oxidases, glucose oxidase and laccase..
  • Our goal is to convert chemical energy to electrical energy through electoenzymatic reactions
