Human Practices Development

Human Practice is about being able to see beyond the lab and to think about society's implication of any project. Our team felt especially concerned about the Human Practices during all the time of the competition. Like one of our members used to say, "a good project poorly prepared is worst than a bad project well prepared". We questioned ourselves about a large number of topics :

  • How do we present ourself in front of funders?
  • How aware is the public of Xylella fastidiosa?
  • What is the public opinion about the GMO subject?
  • Was the form of our cure practical for the farmers?
  • Does the farmers feel support in their fight?
  • Is our process and project safe for both consumers and environment?
  • Are we relevant in our fighting process, from an expert opinion?
  • Does the future generation understand the stake of the scientific research?
  • Where did our project stand in regards to the GMO law?

By this questioning, we made sured that our project filled society criteria. We also improved ourselves after every answer we got. It made us prudent, engaged, ethical and open minded.
