Welcome!

Welcome to our website for iGEM 2017! We represent The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) at this global competition in synthetic biology. We are a group of 8 students, both over graduate and undergraduate, working together on a research project throughout the summer with the final presentation of our achievements at the start of November in Boston!

With our project we aim to face the approaching challenge of antibiotics resistance by taking a closer look into the exciting area of phage-therapy. Our goal is to develop an efficient way of selecting bacteriophages (a type of virus) for killing specific bacteria. See "Project Description" for more details.

Phage under constuction

Page under construction

This page is currently under construction! You might therefore expect changes from time to time, as well as minor glitches. Not all sub-pages will be available at once and the content might change. The construction work has an absolute deadline at the 1st of September. We thank you for your patience and hope you find this site both informative and easy to navigate.

Should you have any feedback or other questions don't hesitate to contact us! Se contact information at the bottom of the page.

Our team, leaping for the sky.

Sponsors

Making phages require hard work - and money! We are therefore very grateful to our sponsors that make such an important contribution to our project, showing both interest and support. Our university (NTNU) supply us with both access to lab and advisors, yet to be able to properly compete in the iGEM contest we rely on both expensive lab-equipment and tickets to The Giant Jamboree in Boston.

Should you be interested in helping us on the way, or got any other questions, don't hesitate to contact us! Se contact information below.
