Postcards
This year we joined iGEM Team Düsseldorf/Cologne on their Postcards- Campaign. All the teams were invited to participate and create a postcard with an image related either to their project or to synthetic biology in the front and a short text on the back. The postcards were then sent by each team to Düsseldorf/Cologne, where they shuffled all the postcards together and sent them back to the teams. That way, each team got to see the creative designs and ideas of the other teams from around the world and helped in distributing them in an attempt to share scientific information with the public. It was definitely a fun activity and we are looking forward to more of these exciting collaborations with the other teams!
Delft
This year, iGEM Team Delft organized a European meetup, which we partook in. It was a delightful experience; we got the chance to meet many teams from all around Europe, we attended a symposium with many respected speakers and we also had the opportunity of hearing about other teams' projects in a posters discussion session. Of course, it wasn't all work; there was a delicious barbeque one afternoon and a city tour of the beautiful city of Delft! We would like to kindly thank iGEM Delft for their invitation and warm hospitality and all the other iGEM teams, who helped make this trip a memorable one.
