Dr. Janie Brennan is our main advisor and handled our registration this year. She has also guided us through the development of our project and taught us about cloning and PCR.

Dr. Himadri Pakrasi met with Alex at the beginning of the summer to discuss our project, and he gave us a few pointers on the UV radiation damage resistance mechanisms already present in cyanobacteria. Dr. Pakrasi also suggested several routes we could take our project from what we had at that point.
