History of the team

We start in 2015 to go to the scientific academy that practiced classes of genetic engineering, synthetic biology and instructed us with classes of scientific undertaking in the Universidad Mayor –Seat Campus Huechuraba-. In mid of 2016, we started to apply the knowledge in the laboratory and after of this, we started to work in different groups of students of different schools of Puente Alto, groups that they treated unequal thematics in the synthetic biology, where each group worked in their project, with the problems and needs to solve.

As time passes, certain events occurred that it caused a fusion of three groups that after they were working in their certain project, projects called DetoxCu, Blix y Blueberi, being the objective of this fusion a better academic strategy. We choose one of the project before called and we have been progress in the scientific advance of the project (Blueberi); so day by day we remain working together to achieve the common goal, which is to participate in the international competition iGEM 2017 -located at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, USA- to be able to present our project and demonstrate that students of diverse colleges are able to unite to solve a problem that, unfortunately, increasingly affects a larger population.
