Human Practice
This year our project was inspired by our local environmental problems. Our city is Qingdao, Which is located in the Yellow Sea coast of China. Form June to August every year, a large number of floating Enteromorpha appeared in the offshore waters of Qingdao. Annual government-funded salvage of Enteromorpha, according to statistics, Enteromorpha's annual salvage capacity of 70000 tons. However, a large number of Enteromorpha has not been used very well after salvage, So our goal is to use the waste seaweed residue,to achieve Maximum utilization.
What's more, we are concerned about the world energy crisis, bioenergy is one of the main renewable energy sources of human development. We hope to transform the algae fiber into bioenergy and make a modest effort to solve the world energy crisis.
Inheriting the thought of iGEM Organizing Committee, we realize that our project comes from social life and should be given back to society. That is how society affects our work and how our work affects society.

We link our projects to actual production！
We combine our projects with actual social production, and we Qingdao Winsea Group (currently one of the most important companies in the country to carry out the Enteromorpha salvage and roughing) established a partnership, At the same time, their research and development staff to assess the future of our project. Feedback to society
We do a lot of work to give back to society. what’s more,we have a creative education work!
We believe that algae outbreaks caused by water environmental problems do not exist only in our locality. We investigate such environmental problems worldwide by distributing questionnaires in iGEM communities, consulting with iGEM teams around the world, searching for relevant research institutes and consulting materials, and making hot maps. We hope that more people can understand this kind of environmental problems, enhance the protection of the environment and the awareness of its development and utilization! We also feed the information to Qingdao Winsea Group and related research institutes. (Detailed content)
Another part of our society's main job is about education! Today we are using more innovative methods of synthetic biology and innovative scientific ideas! We spent half a year designing and producing a synthetic biology science, which tells the biological model of synthetic biology to be a vivid cartoon story, and we want to make more people understand synthetic biology and love synthetic biology! At the same time, we combine many colleges and universities, organize summer camps for primary and secondary school students, and introduce our work to more people through social software, and this year we help iGEM organizing committee to apply for social accounts in China Sina Weibo, we hope that more people in our country can understand the iGEM!
