    On 18<sup>th</sup> August teams from across the UK came to London to meet

    and discuss iGEM. The first day of the UK meet up was sponsored by the

    Biochemical Society at University of Westminster. The first session gave

    iGEM teams chance to introduce their team, the project they were working on

    and the problems encountered so far. This was followed by plenary talks

    from Dr Vitor Pinheiro and Dr Stefanie Frank. The day concluded with a

    poster session and further opportunity for iGEM teams to network and

    discuss projects.
