Daniel Jacobo, Ph.D.
Dr. Daniel Jacobo is the Medicine Department Director at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara. He helped us evaluate our project, followed up on our advances and contacted the team with different experts. Supported with permissions and requests in laboratories.

Antonio Rentería, Ph.D.
Dr. Rentería is the Engineering Department Director at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara. He approved and followed up our project, as well as arranged financial support.

MsC. Oscar Osorio
MsC. Oscar Osorio is the Biotechnology Engineering major coordinator and our Secondary P.I. Supported and followed up our project. Helped in problem solving and gave advice on team management.

Arturo Quintero, Ph.D.
Dr. Quintero is our P.I. He supervised our investigation, as well as being in charge of maintaining a collaboration with The CIATEJ (Center for Research and Assistance in Technology and Design of the State of Jalisco).

Luis Figueroa, Ph.D.
Dr. Figueroa is the Synthetic Biology specialist at CIATEJ. He supported the team regarding the Genetic Engineering constructs and taught us bioinformatics, as well as provided laboratory equipment.

Luis Virgen, Ph.D.
Dr. Virgen helped in the ideation of our mathematical model, as well as pointed out key aspects regarding variables and experimental conditions to define it.

Clara Ríos, Ph.D.
Dr. Clara Ríos was a crucial aid in experimentation and definition of enzyme activity in the protocol for testing the enzymes extracted from Aspergillus niger. She suggested improvements to optimize enzyme activity. Gave us throughout assessment in competent cells and transformation protocols.

Alan Gutiérrez
Alan is the Microbiology Laboratory Manager at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara. He advised us in experimental processes regarding experimental stainings and growth curves of P. putida KT2440, as well as lab equipment usage.

María José Rubio
María José provided the team with laboratory materials and tracked the iGEM kit.

Maria Mercedes Roca, Ph.D.
Dr. Roca initially guided the team and advised us regarding Human Practices and Biosafety considerations. She helped to establish the first contact with CIATEJ and Dr. Figueroa. She also co-imparted The Risk Analysis and Biosafety Workshop organized by Youth Biotech, AMEXBIO (Mexican Society for Biosafety) and Jalisco’s Biosecurity Laboratory.

Luis Ochoa, Ph.D.
Dr. Ochoa is the President of AMEXBIO (Mexican Association for Biosafety). He co-imparted the Risk Analysis and Biosafety Workshop organized by Youth Biotech, AMEXBIO and Jalisco’s Biosecurity Laboratory.

Paulo Paes, Ph.D.
Dr. Paes, from the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil, co-imparted The Risk Analysis and Biosafety Workshop organized by Youth Biotech, AMEXBIO (Mexican Society for Biosafety) and Jalisco’s Biosecurity Laboratory.

Yo Suzuki, Ph.D.
Assistant professor and researcher at The J. Craig Venter Institute. He revised the Genetic Engineering constructs and followed up on the project.

José Claudio Moreno, Ph.D.
Dr. Moreno revised the Genetic Engineering constructs and shared with us an open source tool to test them.

MSc. Ricardo Camilo Chávez
MsC. Chávez is one of our Instructors. He guided us regarding G.E. constructs and general considerations of the project. He followed up closely and introduced the team to the iGEM requirements.Continously helped the team and helped revising protocols for characterization of parts

MSc. Heber Torres
MsC. Torres instructed us in vector design and imparted an iGEM Workshop at Monterrey City, Mexico which two of our members attended.

Yolanda Cham
Our presentation advisor and consultant, helped outlining the important aspects of the project for the presentation, advised on how to present data on an non-scientific language. Helped us with objective problem solving.
