With this book we hope application and development of synthetic biology in Indonesia can be more affordable by various parties. We also include content about the iGEM competition and how to participate in it, so, we hope that in the future there will be more teams in Indonesia besides ITB who can compete in the competition. this book we spread to campuses, academics, students and various background. Before this booklet there is no book about synthetic biology and iGEM in our national language, this become one of our backgrounds to create this book in our national language, Bahasa Indonesia.</p>

Moreover, we found no literature written in Bahasa regarding synthetic biology. Therefore, we assumed it was the main issue and trying to solve it by making a booklet. The booklet was written in Bahasa and consist of the synthetic biology basic knowledge and our projects. The basic knowledge includes the definition of synthetic biology, part, device, and system. On the other hand, we also elaborate the past, recent, and future outlook of our iGEM projects. It was our contribution to inspire another Indonesian team.  The booklet then circulated to academician through an online link and sent it directly by email that we had acquired in National Seminar Event.</p>

Beyond the bench!

We believe that the human practice should be sustainable and inspiring. To satisfy this vision requires creative and well-documented activities. Therefore, we made a booklet project and short documenter movie regarding our project. It was constructed from our public engagement activities and stakeholder interviews. Interviewing various stakeholders affects our wet lab topic, execution, as well as future application. We hope our work could serve as the educational and inspirational tool for Indonesian people.
