Tolerance challenge

Tolerance challenge





We ask people from different cultural backgrounds take pictures with a "Tolerance" sign and share them on social media; Facebook and Instagram. We hashtaged the pictures with the hashtag: #tolerance_challenge to have a photo archive containing all the pictures with tolerance sign. The main aim of our tolerance challenge is to raise awareness and encourage discussion of tolerance within the community.

At 27.10.17 we published a final post on Facebook and Instagram explaining the connection between tolerance and our project in iGEM:



“ During the last four months you were exposed to different individuals and communities with one common vision - "TOLERANCE". You may ask your self- What is the connection between this aim and our iGEM project????
Our project based on the immune- TOLERANCE system that exist naturally in our body!


The immune system recognizes and can distinguish between hostile and unharmful agent. Sometimes mistakes can happen, and the immune system will attract itself or unharmful subject. For example, in peanut allergy, MS disease and etc.
In our project we want to use this special ability of our immune system and prevent development of immune disease and allergy's.




To summarize, we succeeded to spread out the tolerance value among different communities, and people cooperated amazingly with us. We feel we achieved the goal we set four month ago!
