We improved the characterization of one existing BioBrick Part this year.

The existing part is :BBa_K1065303

The improved part is :BBa_K2277555

To improve sensitivity of the light sensing system, we made modifications in the following aspects:

Replaced the lacIq promoter with the IGEM standard element promoter J23100
Added IGEM standard element terminator B001 at the downstream of egfp
Replaced mrfp with egfp
Replaced the pBR322 origin with pUC origin
Replaced the original promoter PFixK2 with P’FixK2 documented in the reference (J Mol Biol, 2012, 416: 534-42)
