BioBrick Construction:

Student leaders Julian and Jessica lead the way for assembly of our BioBricks. Other student members of the team pitched in and setup some of the reactions, ran some gels, and prepped other materials.

Seawater Experiments:

This was primarily accomplished by Jessica and Wendy, with help from Prof. C and some of the other team members. The water was obtained from the shoreline on campus.

RFP Characterization:

This was executed in part by Dinara, Abraham, and Kate, with quantification by Tiffany. Jessica helped with the transformation of the plasmids into some of the strains.

A special thanks to Dr. Wali Karzai, at Stony Brook University, for providing the delta-tmRNA (ssrA::Kan-R) strain, used in the RFP characterization experiments

Outreach and Engagement:

The Eco-fest engagement was driven primarily by Jessica and Wendy, with some help from other team members. For the visit to Canon, Antoine, Kate, and Abraham also attended and/or aided with transportation.

Design and Modelling:

The project focus and design was brainstormed by many students early in the spring. Julian lead the efforts for modelling gene expression, with some assistance from Tiffany. We would like to sincerely thank Wageningen 2016 iGEM team for sharing their model and values on wiki.

Artwork:

The artwork featured on the site and in other media was primarily created by Arwar and Darlinda, with the Phantom Logo obtained by Antoine from an artist (name forthcoming in next update to the Wiki).

Wiki:

The Wiki was assembled primarily by Jessica and Alex, with contributions from Prof C. and other team members..

DNA Synthesis:

DNA fragments were obtained from Integrated DNA Technologies (see Sponsorship page)
